1) Ferry Trip
Take the Ferry from Tswassen (ferry terminal South of Vancouver) or Horseshoe Bay (ferry terminal West of Vancouver) to Nanaimo. The Ferry crossing is a relaxing voyage across Georgia Strait of about 2 hours.
2) Drive to the West Coast
Drive Highway 19 North for about 30 minutes to Qualicum Beach exit. Take this exit and drive West on Highway 4 to Port Alberni (about a one hour drive). Once in Port Alberni, follow the signs to Tofino and Pacific Rim National Park. This drive takes you through fabulous scenery with lots of places to stop and take a moment to take in the majestic mountains and beautiful rivers and creeks. From Port Alberni to the West Coast and Tofino is a beautiful 2 - 2.5 hour drive.
3) Just past the Pacific Rim National Park
Once you get to the West Coast, follow the signs and turn left towards Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park. You will pass the Tofino Visitor Centre and about 1/4 mile after the Centre make a left turn on Chesterman Beach Road. Keep driving — watching for surfers, walkers and bike riders — un till you see our street number 1336 Chesterman Beach Road on your right hand side (look for the red cedar Adirondack Chair in the driveway).
4) That's it!
